Senior Partner Anita Pissolito participated in IFRA’s webinar on Biodiversity in Latin America last week.

Last week, our Senior Partner Anita Pissolito participated as a speaker at an important event promoted by IFRA – International Fragrance Association, the Webinar on Biodiversity in Latin America. At the invitation of the organization, partner Anita Pissolito joined the webinar, which brought together approximately 300 participants, including associates, clients, and members of the IFRA-IOFI Nagoya Protocol Task Force.

During the meeting, Anita addressed the practical implications of the Nagoya Protocol for the fragrance industry, focusing on regulatory challenges and compliance strategies applicable to the Latin American context. She compared the Brazilian Biodiversity Law with the regulations of India, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and Argentina. Her technical analysis contributed to deepening the debate on the impact of biodiversity regulation globally on fragrance production chains and clarifying sensitive points of regulatory implementation.

The significant public participation, reflected in the volume of questions and interactions, demonstrated the relevance of the topic and the need for a qualified legal perspective on biodiversity regulation, access to genetic resources, and benefit-sharing. We continue to closely monitor regulatory developments impacting the sector.

We congratulate our Senior Partner Anita Pissolito for her relevance, her technical contribution, and the impact of the qualified dialogue on strategic issues related to biodiversity and international regulation.
