Partner Evelini Figueiredo participated in the meeting of the Sustainability and Decarbonization Committee of ABBI, dedicated to discussing the impacts of COP 30 on the strategies and responsibilities of companies in Brazil.

Partner Evelini Figueiredo was present at the preparatory meeting for COP30 of the Sustainability and Decarbonization Committee of ABBI (Brazilian Association of Bioinnovation).

The meeting’s theme was: “COP 30: Impacts on the businesses of companies operating in Brazil” and featured the distinguished participation of speakers Cácia Pimentel, a lawyer specializing in the Carbon Market, and Erivaldo Gomes, former Director of the World Bank.

The meeting addressed the evolution of the main historical decisions of the COPs, advances in carbon markets, climate funds and financing, as well as the effects of the current climate system on the national market, including duties, risks, opportunities, and responsibilities of companies.

The event was held this Wednesday (November 4th) at the ABBI headquarters in São Paulo/SP.
