On July 1, Partner Evelini Figueiredo attended the event “ESG in Industry: Lessons and Perspectives,” held at the headquarters of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) in São Paulo.
The gathering brought together industry representatives, financial market players, and experts to discuss the progress of the ESG agenda in Brazil and the challenges associated with its practical implementation. Key topics included the evolution of sustainability reporting as a strategic management tool, the impact of international reporting standards, the Brazilian Sustainable Taxonomy (TSB), financing the transition to a low-carbon economy, and prospects for the decarbonization of the domestic industrial sector.
The program also highlighted the roles of governance, transparency, and risk management as increasingly critical factors for corporate competitiveness, as well as the importance of collaboration among the productive sector, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to drive a sustainable agenda.
Participation in such discussions reinforces Nascimento e Mourão Advogados’ commitment to staying abreast of regulatory changes and trends affecting the business landscape, thereby ensuring legal practice that is increasingly aligned with the challenges and opportunities of the ESG agenda.
